Here's what you can expect from this weekly newsletter and my mentoring and coaching opportunities
The Writer’s Guide is a free weekly newsletter for writers who create non-fiction articles aimed at a general audience (lay readers) and want to improve their craft. I’ll be sharing the fundamentals and the secret sauce of successful writing based on my 30-plus years experience writing, editing and managing newspapers and online publications. This is my opportunity to give back to the writing community, and I’m really excited to serve as a mentor to more writers than ever. You can learn about me and the subscription options—including one-on-one coaching opportunities—on the About Page.
Since I’ve just launched, I want to give you a preview of a fraction of the essays and guides I have planned for the weeks and months ahead:
What’s Your Angle?
Pitch First, Then Swing
Three Rules of Engaging Writing
Write What You Know or Know What You Write?
Writers Should Serve Cake First, Then Veggies
Ask the Dumb Questions
Jettison Your Jargon
Why Did My Story Flop?
This is going to be fun. Writing should be fun. I hope you’ll grab a free subscription to join me for this weekly exploration of better writing. If you have questions about writing, I invite them via this Google Form. We’re going to take this journey together. Join me?
