Why I Never Type Anyone’s Name

One of the most embarrassing mistakes of my life, a mere typo, changed how I work

My first colossal error as a journalist happened at my university’s weekly newspaper. It was one of those last-minute, hot-off-the-Mac Classic, 3 a.m. typos in a story that didn’t get run by the copy desk (one guy at the time, probably drunk and already heading to Denny’s for breakfast since we were about to go to press).
